Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) services can be provided by a range of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), and speech-language pathologists. Additionally, RTM CPT codes can be designated as “sometimes therapy,” allowing physicians and certain nonphysician practitioners (NPPs) such as nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical nurse specialists to perform RTM services.

These services can be delivered under general supervision, with services performed by clinical staff members such as nurses or therapy assistants, offering flexibility in care delivery.
